Hannah Connolly Hoyt is a designer based in Los Angeles.
She is currently a senior associate at Michael Maltzan Architecture in Los Angeles. Previously she was a director at HR&A Advisors in New York, where she worked on urban planning projects nationwide, including the City of Boston’s long-term plan, Imagine Boston 2030. She started her career working for the City of New York as an Urban Fellow.
Her writing on housing design and affordability has been published by the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies and the Brookings Institution. Her ongoing research, which studies resident-led adaption and maintenance of social housing, is supported by the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Appleton Fellowship.
She completed her Master in Architecture I degree with distinction at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she also received the Henry Adams Medal. She received her BA in Studio Art and Government from Dartmouth College.
